Hey Guys just wondered does anyone have any tricks to make the car sound any beefer? dont want it sounding chavvy ir id just buy a stupid big bore! just wanted someway of making it sound beautiful like a clio should . so any tips or any amazingly good but not expensive exhausts anyone knows off?

by the looks of your profile you have a 1.2 clio.

i really wouldnt bother mate...such a waste of cash doing it to that sort of car. not being funny but you will regret dong anything to do it once you can afford a more powerful car.

if you insist on making more sound then just buy a cheap halfords air filter. under £50 and bolt that on. will give you the roar you require. but will nothing, may even reduce performance, mpg and you may look like a tool!

k&n doesnt work that much only when foot is flat and doing about 50+, iv put a Cat back 172 exhaust on mine with twin 3.5" exit, sounds better but still i need more noise

I went down the halfrauds airfilter route before i could afford a back box, and was plesantly suprised at when i got from it, much throatier sound, was louder than any other filter on any of my mates cars, not sure why but i wasnt complaining!!

If you got the funds have a decent backbox made up by someone like powerflow (where you can decide how loud) rather than just buying the big bore bad man box that'll be super loud

Does nothing for power, but does give you that bit of a smile when you pull away hard!!

edit: to the post above, its a 1.2 he'll always have his foot on the floor, i know i do
