Spacers ??

Car  Suzuki Ignis Sport
How thick should my wheel spacers be?? i've bene told 5mm won't fit my car, because there won't be any hub to sit on.. or something like that.. and recommended me to get 3mm...can anyone eleborate on this please.. thanks.

yeah if u put 5 on you will probably not have a hub for the wheel to rest on, so the wheel will just be held in place by the 4 nuts, vibation and bumps could cause the nuts to come loose, thus resulting in wheels falling off. either buy proper spacers not cheap ones, proper ones that have a hub like part on them

ive got 5's on and my wheels sit on fine, but any bigger and you will need hubcentric (sp) 1's

Seriously mate I am sure it will be fine.

It won't fall of and even if there is a bit of vibration you can just sell them again for pretty much the same price you bought them for.

i just bought and fitted some 3mm they didnt do much difference....would 5mm make much difference?

make sure you check the studs still get enough purchase on the threads!

How can i do that?...

I am assuming that its safe to put 5mm as been told by other members.... is this correct?

plus... i've been told that by putting spacers on the wheels, it would over steer my car?? is that true also?

When you have the wheels bolted up check hoe much bolt pertrudes on the other side of the hub personal any less than one and a half full threads i'd get longer bolts so with any spacer you need some IMO. You can and proepl have driven round with thread not even near the outside but then again people drive round with engine oil in the brake system and never service there cars so enough said IMO.

You won't overstear though.

So what u're saying is, when i fit them on properly. i should look on the inside of the wheel... to see how much bolt is securely fastened into the drum??

The fronts and the rears will be the same so if your ok at the fornts rear will be the same.

just fitted them no problem, but didnt achieve the wideness that i hoped for... but meh... its only 5mm! wot do i expect!
