Spacers?...

Car  Clio Dynamique Noir
Im going to fit some vmaxx coilies soon and at the moment my wheels are not flush with the wheel arches...ive seen quite a few people talk about spacers on the forum do you just put them on before the wheel and theyll push the wheels out further away from the car? If soo where can i buy them from?

Cheers Daniel, ill take a look. Is it just a case of measuring the size of the gap and then buying the 'appropriate' spacers?

correct, only do that after you have had the tracking/geometry re-set as it will be out after you have fitted the coilovers...

Woah...lost! Sorry bit of a novice, how would i go about doing that?

if your having the coilovers fitted at a garage get them to set up the tracking ect back to standard factory set up, will prob cost about £50 extra but worth it as generally the suspension geometry will be different after you have lowered the car thus increasing tyre wear ect and more importantly so the car tracks in a straight line!!!

I was going to fit them with one of my mates to save some money but do you think I could get a garage to set up the tracking after?

Yeah mate, easy enough to do yourself and should cost little over £30/40 for the tracking at most places :)

You have to space the wheels out at least 10mm iirc, otherwise they actually rub on the coil which could cause a major blowout.
