Spare wheel cage

Mine just pulled right off...get under the car and you can see which direction to yank it and with a bit of persuation it should come off...

mine came off quite easily on my RT. just get underneath the back and have a look, just be careful if any rust falls down, as i got a face full of rust

Assuming youve already used the brace to lower the hanger right down, so you can unhinge it....
 


I wasnt sure whether to yank it off or not....

Its an easier way to lose some weight out of the car rather than for me to stop eating currys.

To remove the spare wheel cage you might have to jack the rear end up or park with your back wheels on top of a kerb as you need the get the cage quite low, once the have the hooks lines up with the holes you will need to push the cage up slightly and then remove to the right, watch for the two side bits that will try and catch on the exhaust heat shield and reserve petrol tank.
