Spark plug removal

i need my spark plugs chaning, how do i get down ith the hole, the box spanner can fit the spark plug but it dont fit in the hole to get the old ones out? 02 clio

Special tool needed on the 1.2 16v engines.

Well ntoreally special its just a narrow socket plug remover

IIRC Halfrauds keep the tool in stock?

I had the same problem.

I used a small enough socket that would fit down the hole - not a plug socket which was too big - only problem with this was that since it didnt have the rubber insert for drawing the plugs out i oculdnt gewt them out.

To fix this i bought one of these

It was about £5 from halfords and done the job no bother.
