Speeding up electric windows?

Car  Valver
Took apart the mechanism earlier, put some WD40 and bit of grease into the tube? part... seems to have made it slower though :(

Any tips on how I can speed it up, going down its fine, back up it takes aggggggggggges

Can't change the motors would need a whole new assembly, motor sounds ok really just need to know if the system can be cleaned out or how I'd lube it up lol

If it's not going as fast as a new system it has to one of the following:

-Not enough power being supplied to motors
-Motors are worn and just aren't as efficient as when they were new
-ingress of dirt into motor or linkages causing friction against movement of motor/linkages
-ingress of dirt into window tracks causing friction against movement of window

I've no experience with car electric windows but from a mechanically/technically minded P.O.V this is where I'd start.

Yeah your defo right, but after taking the mechanism out, im not sure how I'd go about cleaning it?

Possibly something like kitchen roll, or if you can get something more meaty like kimwipe (blue roll). Possibly try cleaning using this and a degreasant and then re-greasing all the mechanism once it's spotless.

Once again though, I work on aircraft and don't have specific knowledge of car electric windows so while I'd be happy to try it on my own car, you'd have to weigh up for yourself if your happy doing this.

Yeah its a bit of a strange system though I dont know how to describe it... like a metal tube with a pipe cleaner type thing running through it, top face of the pipe is cut off and part of the window is connected to the pipe-cleaner bit through the cut off section. The pipe-cleaner bit is then run back and forth by the motor to wind the window up and down :S

Just don't want to fork out for a new one :(
