speedo cable

My speedo cable snaped today

Anyone done one befor ? is it hard to do?

I had a look and it looks like a right t**t to do any advice would be lots of help

Hardest part is seating it correctly in the bulk head!

Spray a bit of wd40 or similar to aid you.

lol well, dont do what i did and follow certain ppls instructions and rip the f**ker out with all ur might.

stick ur hand down the back of the engine where the speedo cable goes into the gearbox, push together the 2 plastic clips and gently pull out.

then feed it back into the bulk head - pushing it thro the rubber bung, this will free up the clocks. then back in the drivers seat - begin to take the clocks out. at the back of the clocks directly ast the bottom of the speedo is the other end, disconnect that and feed that end down thro the dash. then pull out in the passenger kickwell.

make sure u take note of the area it comes out of, cos u gota get the new one back in there lol

its one b**ch of a job in a 19 so in a clio i can only asume its alot harder.
