Speedo STILL cutting out

Hey guys, did a thread a while back about my speedo randomly cutting out... After i took it into my friends garage they cleaned some sensor and it went back to working fine but after a few days it continued doing it!

There is no particular time that it does it, just totally random, drops to 0 and then totally randomly again re-appears when it feels like it.

Also my oil light does the same thing, could this just be a sign that my whole dash display is on the way out as i have a friends dad who's megane (around the same age) who had a similar speedo problem but i think one day it just never started working again and it turned out to be the clocks...

Sunday bump...

My Dynamique used to do this. All the dials would fall, lights go off etc, then all come back on all of a sudden. I put it into Renault for 2 days and they were 'unable to replicate the fault' so they changed my oil instead and tried to charge me £9 for the pleasure.

Never did get to find out what was wrong with it

Check the speed sensor on the gearbox
