hey, im looking for some help on the sport badge on the rear of the mk2 ph1, is the sport badge just stuck on? also could someone post a link to one for sale, i have had a look on eBay but im not sure which one, as i want one the same as the original.

thanks.

The ones on eBay are basically the same as the original. They do them in Halfords too, which is a sign you shouldn't do it.

Are you the same guy who also has 2 litre badges on his 1.2?

thanks me :approve:

No, just no. :slap:

ye im putting it on

Hang on...do you have a sport model?

i will soon :rasp:.

the exterior pretty much looks like the ph1 172 now just the dynamique alloys which may get changed in the future, i was thinking about colour coding but ive seen a few and the finish is not too good. at 17 i think i have a decent looking car, all original renault 172 parts have gone on it so it looks good.

Please don't. You are right - you're 17 and have a very tidy looking car, However by sticking lies all over it you're making it look like s**t. 2.0 16v is a lie. You're as well putting a V6 or if you're feeling really keen a V8 badge on it. That's a lie too. Infact while you're at it replace the word clio on the back for Laguna. Please please please don't.

Oh and if you havn't already done so, colour code them wing mirrors.

p.s. nice car, the dual optics were an A+ choice of mod

Dont really get this thread, but if you are putting 2.0 badges on a 1.2, then PLEASE DONT!
You will simply be laughed at by anyone who knows anything about cars, as a 1.2 will stick out like a sore thumb with 2.0 badges on it.

  Ph1 track 172
if thats your car two posts above,

it looks NOTHING like a 172,

my ph1 looks more like a 172 than that,

and im desperatley trying to find some 1.2 badges to replace the lies that came with my door strips,

if your making a 100% replica, then its the last thing you should do,
but still cs is against it.

but that is not a 172, its not a sport, and unpainted plastic makes it incredibly obvious

Gutted, wish i'd thought of putting 2.0 sport badges on my 1.6 before i bought the 172. Think of how much money i'd have saved
