Sport badges on anything but a 1*2

Car  monaco 172
Did Renault make any cliios other than ones with an f4r with a sport badge on?

Reason I ask is that I keep seeing them about and wernt sure if there was a sport level trim which had a sport badge on the boot.

Well that's the thing, I keep seeing threads pop up of people saying " help with my Clio sport, well not the proper sport Clio sport" sort of thing pop up.

It turns out they are like 1.2's and 1.4's etc so i just wondered what gives them the idea it is a sport apart from the fact previous owner may have put a halfords special on it.

Referring to RenaultSport models as Clio Sports is technically wrong anyway.

I saw a sport badge on a nissan x-trail, right below the type-R sticker.

Damn you Halfrauds!

Some of the ph1 were sport editions (1.4/1.6?). Aren't some of the mk2 campus a sport edition too?

As said you can thank Halfords/eBay for the countless sheds rocking the Renault look "sport" badge. I've seen them on vectras, corsas, skodas etc. Personally if I still had the Clio I'd pull it off and/or replace it with one of the newer RS badges instead.

But did the campus sport have a sport badge on the boot?

I don't think they had one on the boot but they had a sport badge on the side, at window height. Same place as the CUP badge on the RS Cups. But this is a different sport badge to the one on the boot of the RS's

I have a 1.2 'sport' didn't come with a sport badge though.

I have a friend with a ph2 campus and it didn't have a sport badge on, but he stuck one on anyways ;)

I got the impression that, Halfords stickers aside, Sport on the left under Renault is a 1*2, Sport on the right under Clio is just a nice trim level on pretty much any engine... From the above posts there might just be alot of people with Halford stickers though? :S

Clio sport is a 1.4

But, as said, there's a 'sport' trim level on all of the 16v models.

Renaultsport Clio is the 2.0, the only one to have a renaultsport badge.

iirc all 'sport' trims didn't come with a sport badge.
Only Renaultsports.

But I am prepared to be proven wrong!

lol @ all the confusion here.

NO clios other than renault sport models had a sport badge under the renault badge on the boot.

there was a ph1 sport non rs it didnt have any sport badging from memory, but possibly sport badges on the bump strips cant remember.

campus sport in mk2 ph3 and ph4 had sport badges on the door pillar.

dynamiques were part of the sport range but never badged as a sport.
