sport box/cup box

can anyone tell me if the boxes in the 172 sport are the same as the ones in the 172 cup. or are they different ratios.

They are the same as far as Im aware, the difference is only that the cup box has a speedo drive sensor. The 172mk1 has slightly different ratios (higher speed in each gear).

thanks. i've a brand new box for my cup but was thinkin of gettin a sport and swappin the new box into that 1 but wasn't sure whether they were they same or not
