Sport bumpers

Right im looking to get new bumpers and bumpstrips for my car (mk2 ph2) and was thinkin about getting a 182 front bumper, 182 bumpstrips and 172 back bumper...Im not to fussed about the colour as my mate can spray them for me but i understand they're like rocking horse sh!t. Anyone know where i can get them and at what price??

172 rear bumper = 60-100 depending on condition. plus spraying and fitting
182 bumpstrips are the same as your current ones, they're just sprayed. probably easier just to get yours done
182 front bumper wont fit without the wings, and sideskirts but normally you can get all the parts for a few hundred if your lucky.

just keep your eyes on ebay and keep ringing all your local scrapyards.

as middo says... I'd get your bump stripes on the front sprayed and a 172/182 grill?

O right i didnt realise it wouldnt fit lol...if i could get the wings and skirts for a reasonable price then i might change them all cos my n/s front wing is cracked anyway and my bumper isnt acctually a renault one its a copy 'cos mine got smahsed up! Yeah i think i'll just spray my current bump strips

Ive been to a couple of bodyshops about having my car colour coded (black bits on bumpers and bumpstrips) and they've both told me that it will look odd due to the surface being rough, anyone on here agree with this or acctually had this done???

O right..do you know where he took it to have it done by any chance? I tried to get hold of the 172 bumpers and i was told not to bother trying 'cos they are like rocking horse s**t so ive decided to go with the spraying

out of interest how much are the bumpers new?

about £300 i would say.. If the 172 front bumper would fit my car, would the 172 kit off k-tec fit cos they dont do it in just the mark2 section??

circa £224 for a brand new one off renault when i enquired for insurance purposes.

i'm going to ask for my current one back off the insurance, and might get it fixed. you could have it on the cheap if its repairable.

To get the 182 front bumper you need the 182/172 wings as well also the side skirts realy as it looks wrong.
You alos need to sort out the inner arches either buy them or accepot you won't have any arches and make sure you underseal everywhere under there with protective stuff ever 6 months or so.
The rear bumpers fits no other bits you need realy one hole doesn't match up from memory but its no big problem.
If you do put the 172 front bumpers on then the cars wheels sit in the archs loads so you need some big spacers or need to accept they won't look right.

Thanks for that guys. I can get the spraying done pretty cheap edde, its just finding the parts and knowing wether they'll fit or not!! I think im going to get as much money together as i can and then see whats around then. The side skirts on your price list are they down as sills and why are the sills different prices? If its not down as sills can you only buy them witht he front and rear splitter and spoiler??

just to let you no the 182 side strips are differnt from the oens on the standard clio. the 182 comes come smooth from the factory so there is no chance of flaking and no need to spend ages rubbing them down.

well u can get them from a breakers yard already painted in a 182/172 colour or brand new from renault, the 4 bits come in at under 100£. i got mine from renault as the breakers wanted £70 and were messing me about i waited weeks and never got them. so cancled the order and got some new ones. my front bumper mouldings are flaking now but the sides are perfect.
