Careful going too low, m8. If you're fully legit with your insurance company on your car spec, then they tend to have an issue with anything greater than a 50mm drop. I told them about the Sportlines on mine and the Janspeed and it was a £59 increase in the premium - so I'm guessing approx £30 for the Eibachs alone?
It was the question she asked me when I mentioned the Eibachs...... "it's not lowered it by more than 50mm, has it?" +5cm must sound naughty to the insurers....
D.
I'm looking to have a driveable car, not a slammed one, work has quite a few speedbumps which I need to take into account so 40-45mm on coilovers will prob be what I'm looking for. Not too severe.
Haha! Had exactly the same with insurance (Admiral), I rang them up mid-term, and when I said was about to fit lower springs the lady on the phone seemed to get a bit more interested.......with £'s in her eyes I'm sure. Politely told her the brand of them and 30mm drop and she sounded all dejected. Think she was hoping to give me a boy racer bashing speech lol and bump my premium up a load. £23.90 increase to my policy which I thought was pretty good. That was last year too, insurance is £550 this year.
All the bits on my car are declared. Was interesting telling them about my Clio Cup sticker set and white wing mirrors........long pause from other end of phone after explaining that one haha......rang with my alloys but were fine with those too as they are standard alloys just in a different colour, guess a lot of cars these days have painted ones from the factory.
