Sppedo cable greasing

Just had all the dash off to grease the speedo cable as its jumping a bit at low speeds on my willy. Got it all off, but to be honest didnt really know where to grease. I put a bit on, and i noticed that there was a little bit of rust colour on the white plastic bit (end of the cable that comes from below), so im figuring it may be a bit rusty? Anyway the ticking noise has gone but still jumps (although not so bad). So where exactly do i need to grease and how much? I have LM grease.

grease down the inside of the white cable connecter(where you can see the cable centre poking through)this works most of the time but if it doesnt then you need a new speedo cable.
