Cheers for the contrustive comments :) All feedback is always taken on board. I was comparing the colour of my car to this colour earlier and it looked good. Maybe it was a bad choice by the feedback. Will put them on take photos if it doesnt go spray them a different colour. What colour would all you go for.

chrome tbh mate, but worth a try definately, never know they might look cool, but if not just buy a couple of new ones :).

I can see where you're coming from with the contrasting colour idea, but don't think I'd risk it on my hologram grey. Fair play to you for trying something different mate! Will be interested to see what it looks like.

At the end of the day it they don't look right you can just buy a couple more like M!keydee says. Then give liquid yellow a go!

I was thinking the same to spray my front Renault badge but didn’t no what colour to do it; it’s on a black Clio so I was thinking black or white.

spraying my front and rear dimonds was the worst thing i ever done....
now replacing them with crhome and repainting my side badges and 197 RS badge

Yeah these two are spare badges I bought off ebay. I still have the standard chrome badges on the clio so if all goes wrong I'll take these ones off and give them another respray. It might take a few colours until I find one that perfectly matches the grey. :) Cheers for your comments! :D

I think it would clash a bit, would look better in a different colour, but see what it looks like :)

Tbh steve . I think your white badges on your black car look the dogs b*llocks , not sure the red would look right , maybe gunmetal .

Now done my 16v badges. Still need to lacquer them. The colour is nice dont know whether its going to match. If it doesnt back to the drawing board :).

bullets look cool, im going to colour code my side strips and do my 1.6 16v badges in silver like the sports :)!!

Yeah I want to colour code my side strips. You have any idea what the process is and whether I can get it done professionaly somewhere?

erm... i know a few painters in my area. Im just going to take my car down leave the side strips with them and drive around without them for a couple of days. I presume they clean them up, rub them down and then primer and spray them dude.

I'll probably do that myself then have to work out a colour not sure the blue is going to go with my car yet. Also is it hard taking side strips or the 16v signs off because I have never done it before. I presume they just click off is it?

yeh best thing to do mate is open your door and start from the inside edge if you know what a mean they unlcip quite easily, when i wash my car i wash behind them ( sad b*****d lol )... then walla off they come.

Are you going to do the 16v lettering in the same colour as the car to make it blend in better??

Just a thought! :)

Need to do the badges again as a friend did them and the writing is a bit rough...but I looks fine from a distance lol

Chris

lool yeah im a girl so i do paint my nails, chris n nic how did you do the calipers i been looking for some paint to do mine but cant :(

you mask off the letters mate, or did you spray whole thing green and the numbers with a brush?

Numbers with a brush!

If you want to do your side strip professionaly use high build primer first to get rid of the bobble affect on the side strips. Then sand that back using wet and dry and then do the primer, colour and the laquer! After each coat sand back using wet and dry paper. Then polish and wax after leaving for a day to harden.

Ricky, here's a pic of mine colourcoded...

Did try doing it myself first but found it difficult to get it to look perfect, so in the end just paid to get it done professionally.

Make sure that you flat the colour paint back with wet and dry paper to get rid of the orange peal you have in the paint before you start the laquer stage!!!!!! :)

dunno may look crap lol, plus im thinking about a carbon bonnet lol
