Spraying 16v badge silver

Whats the best way to go about spraying the badges silver? Do i need to like tape up the 16v crome bit or spray over it?

If you want it chrome then mask over it, if you want it the same colour then dont mask over it. If you want it a different colour, paint the badge and then hand paint the lettering

I don't know what would look better, chrome 16v or the silver spray which i am doing it in, and whats the best colour, a grey or silver?
