Mazda 3 MPS Mk1
As some of you may know i have a bit of a carbon fetish lol
I have everything in carbon on my car bar carbon mirror caps at the mo.
I am looking at buying a carbon bonnet, but i want to spray it arctic blue to match the rest of the car, but, and here's the but i want to leave two stripes up the right hand side of the bonnet like the racing stripes on 182 cups, clear so the weave shows through, ala having carbon racing stripes. I know it not weight saving etc etc its purely for aesthetics.
Is this a particularly difficult thing for a body shop to do?? I have all the dimensions for the stripes thanks to timmyd for measuring for me.
Would it be a case of masking the desired area well, flatting down the rest of the bonnet, spraying and laquering, or would they flatten the whole panel, mask spray then laquer the whole thing?? I want to make sure the weae looks good in the stripes, and that the clarity isnt ruined by any sanding etc.
Any sprayers / experts shed any light / advice??
