Is it possible to fit springs which are ment to be for a 1.4 - 2.0 Mk2 on a 1.2 16v

yeah, but the springs will be slightly stiffer to compensate for the extra weight of the larger engine

So what effect will it have on the car. Will it lower it more or just affect the handeling.

they will lower it more and make it stiffer.

if the 172/182 springs say they'll lower 30mm, they will lower your 1.2 more, say about 50mm

So they will fit fine and work fine they will just be stiffer and lower

Ive got a Set of Unused Sportlines for the 1.2
Never got round to fitting them and there sat in my bedroom lol.

Spoke to ktec and they said the ones on there site arent for the 1.2 cars but there are eibach sportline springs for the 1.2 its just there salightly differnt i think.

Get the right springs to the car.

The 1.4 springs will not lower the car as much as the proper springs for the 1.2 would.

Im confused now some say it will lower more others say it wont lower as much, the BIG question is will they fit.
