From cold its very sqeeky but once its warmed up its fine

What age Clio might be the tensioners.

I wouldn't realy worry.

Possibly alternator belt, or as Edde mentioned tensioners/pulleys

As we said tensioners or belt is it near a change or just had one?

They're common for alternator pulleys failing if that helps, I'd change the belt first, cheap and easy option.and while its off check all the tensioners and pulleys by hand.
