Squeaking sunroof!

Anyone no how to stop the squeaking from the manual sunrooves on the mark2?? was going to take it a part but thought i i would find out from you guys first

well. open it. and the shove a sponge inbetween and then close it again.

Live with it. I think htere was a way of tightening it but im not sure.

i got the same problem on my mk2 ph2 but its a elec sunroof. i've tried greasing the runners n the grooves but sqeaking came back after couple of weeks...any suggestions?? (other than turn the radio up!! thanks beef :rasp

One guy suggested placing a sponge between the two parts, but I haven't tried it.
