stalk adapter harness

hi all i bought a new sony stereo and also bought the harness adapetr and the sony adapetr so that the display and stalk could still be utilised however after plugging it all in the display and stalk dont seem to work has anyone any ideas thanks in advance

I bought a sony head unit & stalk control adapter. However I was told that the stalk adaptor would not work due to them being different resistances.

Right if they was diff resistances why would they sell the kit..... Baffled.com anybody else???

ive got a sony and couldnt find the lead, tried a few and didnt work so i live with the stereo remote on my lap now
