Stalk Adapter not working

  Inferno 182 CUP
Bought a pioneer head unit and connects 2 stalk adapter and patch lead and it does f**k all .. Any ideas?

Is the pioneer stalk compatible? what model is stereo?. Also is 3.5mm jack connection or yellow wire connection for pioneer. I presume all parts concerned are new?

Things to check...

1. Ignition feeds are correct way round, as stalk adapter will rely on this to program itself
2. Check all wiring/plugs to adapter are tight and secure
3. Check no wires have been pulled taught - Clios generally dont have much space so best pulling cables down glovebox side before sending stereo back, if stereo has been pushed with wires behind it may have pulled connectors to adapter.
4. There will also be a factory reset on stereo system settings, try disconnecting adapter, reset stereo to factory, then plug controls in again.

I never really encountered problems with connects2 when fitting for my last job. Mainly problems syncing autoleads stuff.

What connects2 adapter are you using as there are 2 different types for clio, think the right one for 1*2 is something like CTSRN003, and a CTPIONEERLEAD

pioneers generally bring up system settings when holding down mode on the standby screen, but newer models like the x6500 allow this to be entered via 'system' on the menu, then there will be a factory reset option (best refer to manual on this one).

the red going into back of radio should be ignition, and yellow constant. Easy way to check is if it remembers radio stations after key on/off

Also the yellow wiring block should be plugged into the same side of harness where the lugs for the iso block are

Does the stereo remember stations when it is turnedn on/off?.

If it's all wired up correctly, no wires have been pulled and tried disconnecting everything then reconnecting then I'd send back stalk adapter in return of a replacement one, also include patch lead on return and get a new one of those also

it seems that every time i plug in the iso block (yellow one) the leads oush out of the back of the block and therefor dont mak contact :(

There's your problem, as long as pins are lined up you should be able to hold wires at back of yellow connector when pushing then together to stop them from popping out. They probably weren't lined up properly when plugging together first and the lugs that hold them in will have been bent back. Best bet is some black tape on back of connector after it has been plugged in/tested

Sorry to hijack your thread but looks like your having the same problem as me. The yellow plug will only go in one way but it just will not work on the stalk. I have sent my lead back now and wondering if the 004 will work as that has it's own plug

I'm sure the 004 is for ones without display, so if you've not got clock at top of dash it should work
