stalk and display headunits?

hey guys,
im looking at getting a new head unit for the car as its just the standard one that is in the now. Im looking to keep the stalk controls and the dash display any recommendations?

Most will work but you need to buy an Adapter to go with to keep stalk control, dash display will never work though it will just say RENAULT pain to fit at times as they come with a small box and not much space back there.

For the MK2 you can get them from £25 from Halfrauds... I went in and on the MK3 it's £75.. Can probably find them cheaper online but that's the cheapest halfrauds would sell them to me for.

Call the guys @ CAS they pretty good and will sort you out, can make a package up for you will make it cheaper if you haven't bought the unit already, Alpine all the way. do speakers etc whilst you're at it.

Halfords are crap that's why, give those guys a call or drop and email, they have Sony ones for like £60 and they have so many ancillaries floating about they can't charge high prices for them.

Most work with Ipod anyway with Usb they all say in advert what they compatible with barely any work with Android but also be careful if they say ipod doesn't mean iphone, they generally list iphone separately. Alpine best for quality and connectivity.

Philips manufacture their own stalk controls - was looking for a customer before. Connects2/Armour (autoleads) do not have compatibility for these though

You could just buy a AUX adaptor cable for your car instead of buying a new head unit and stalk adapter cable?

This is pretty much what you need.. Just take your radio out and look at the spare Auxiliary port in the back and see if the number of prongs on there matches the number of slots on the adapter. PM me if you're stuck

I've just bought the Connects2 adapter with a Pioneer HU lead and it doesn't f'in work! The HU is only 18 months old so I know it can't be that. Checked all connections repeatedly but no luck :-( Sending it back ....

Yep - plugged it all in and the steering controls didn't work at all! The supplier reckons I might need CTSRN004 instead - which looks like it might be correct looking at the yellow adapter on the pic.

if its a 1*2 (with dash display) it will be a CTSRN003

Yep, that's what I bought and it didn't work. I was told it'd be a different adapter as apparently they made some wiring changes in 2005... and mine was registered in Nov 2005. I'm being pointed to the CTSRN005 at the moment, but it's £40+ rather than £25. Probably explains why the supplier didn't exchange it, instead giving me a refund.
