this has happened to me a couple of times now, i approach a turning in 3rd gear but as i go around the corner unless its down a hill i find theres not quite enough juice to accelerate away at a reasonable pace. so i change down to 2nd, drag the clutch up and go to plant my right foot, only to look down and see the dashboard looks like a christmas tree: its stalled. it then takes a couple of attempts to get it started again.
my theory is this: as the car is struggling to pull in 3rd, the revs are likely to be lower than idle (?), so when i press the clutch the revs take a little while to return to idle, then as the clutch comes up in 2nd, ..... (my theory runs out of steam here
any ideas, guys? can anybody explain what is going on here, has it happened to you?!
cheers
