Standard Head Unit

Hi,
I have some of these that I had for my old car and I want to put them in my new 182.

Will I need to upgrade my head unit like I had to in my old Clio 1.2 or will they work from the standard head unit?

They will work from the standard headunit as all speakers will.

The advert doesnt give the RMS of the speakers but you will probably find they work better with an amp or at least a more powerful head unit.

they will work, but wont be anywhere near their optimum I'd imagine.

A cheap amp with speaker-level inputs would help a lot, something like

Thanks for the replys. The reason I asked is because in my last Clio the speakers blew the amp in the standard head unit.

I'm thinking of getting those speakers aswell, but I will be amping them.

Think they're a bit cheaper on caraudiodirect..

this would be an idea, although even with a top-whack alpine unit you'll still need an amp to get the speakers to their best
