Start up issue with revs

Morning all,

I have a Clio 3 1.2 and on start up (intermittently) when driving it won't let me go over 2k, when driving. The only way I can get rid of it is if I floor it, when stationary. I don't really like this method, but seems to be the only way I can get passed it. I have gave the car to a garage and throws up no codes, plus I have bought an OBD and that also shows no codes.

Any advice would be great.

Scan it with can clip and see what fault codes are stored. Generic scanners never show the full picture

An right so I’m guessing a Renault dealer scan would be different than what I have had done at a generic garage ?

Them or a Renault specialist mate, Mick at Diamond motors is who I'd reccommend if you're in the mids, although I understand he is very busy.

I’ve had mine on a generic garage scan and nothing has flagged up
