Starter Motor

  Clio 182
Hi guys, I have a Clio 182 and sometimes it doesnt start, all lights on, immobiliser light goes out.....but nothing. I've heard it could be the crankshaft sensor so I have removed, cleaned and re-fitted. Started first time :D then wouldnt start again so thinking it isnt the crank sensor. Heard that the wire to the starter motor can corrode so need to check. Where abouts is the starter motor located on a 182 and can i get to it easily.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

yeah will do when i can find the bloody thing. I'm pretty sure its going to be the starter motor, hopefully anyway as I'm fed up of non-starts when i'm in a rush!
Cheers for your help anyway mate

If it's the starter, have you tried bumping it? It's located behind the exhaust mani. Pain to get to.

yeah it bumps if needed but normally after quite a few trys of the key it will "eventually" start. Definately think its a dodgy connection. Ahh right lovely, cheers for that mate at least I know where i'm looking now.
Thanks mate
