Steel wheel refurb

hi i am going to be taking my alloys off my car for the winter and want to put back on my steel wheels without wheel trims for one reason, i want them in white like rally 106's have.

they are black just now (prob go silver with a wash lol)

so what do i need to do to them to make them white? does anyone have a paint guide??

i work in b&q so pretty much any paint and any sandpaper is not a problem!

they still have the tyres on them as they got new tyres, i will just mask them off though.

sand them down with wet and dry sand paper..working your way through the grades coarse to fine

wipe them down to get rid of any of the dust and dirt left on them

spray 4-5 coats of primer leaving a few hours between each coat

leave about 24 hours after your final primer layer before spraying 4-5 coats of white spray paint ( again leaving a few hours between each coat)

finally after 24 hours (again) spray 4 coats of clear laquer ( a few hours between coats again ) and then your done

thanks, got the stuff from b&q plasti-kote white metal primer, and some gloss white spray tins. should look good when done, they are only gonna be temp for the winter!
