Steering rack

Anyone know what steering rack is fitted to Mk2 ph1 172, Motorist discount has shed loads of track rod ends listed but the guy in Renault parts told me it is one fitted from Laguna, Renault don't just sell the track rod end but a full unit at £54
the ends are £15 from motorist discount if I can narrow it down, Just wanted to save taking it off going to them matchin it up ordering it, waitin, going back :boring:

Doubt it will be a rack for £54 mate

Can't have gone already on a 172 can it??

Buiold quality isn't what it used to be i guess, most mk1's still ahve to orignal rack on with over 100k miles on them

There is small amount of play in the track rod end, Parts guy in Renault did not specify how much of what unit it was just told me it was not the joint on the end which is all that is needed as this is the part that wears, I would doubt also it would be the full rack for £54
