Stereo for track car ???

As per title need sounds for a track car, needs to be easily/quickly removable including speakers, not too concerned about sound quality. Thinking along the lines of Pure dab with rechargeable ipod speakers or ipod with rechargable speakers, (not too sure about radio reception tho'). Also what is the sound like from rechargable speakers ?
Have 12v and ariel still in car, Any suggestions appreciated.

Is it a race car?

If not stick a cheap head unit and some normal speakers in it, unless security is an issue. The weight addition is only around 2kg if that to be honest, so not a lot. You're talking the same kind of weight as a pub lunch with a couple of drinks.

Really not going to make any difference at all.

Car is used for hillclimbing and sprinting, about 3kg in total, not a lot, but not necessary either.
