Anyone know how to force an Xbox to log out of a live account? My house was burgled and Xbox stolen, I've logged into my account online and can see the scumbag has obviously connected it to the net and been playing games online.

Anyway of getting my stolen Xbox to log out of my account?

I'd ring Microsoft too, they might be able to block the account or do what they do to chipped consoles, etc. Worth a try buddy. Thieving cnuts.

microsoft can give the police the i.p address that it is connected too

they can block it aswell if the police don't help

Sent a support email to Microsoft with regards locking the console, however, from a Google it'd seem they won't be interested in doing this and just tell me there unable to do anything.

Live password changed, presumably the next time the Xbox is switched on it'll ask for the new password then?

I'd of added them as a friend and tried speaking to them first.

Yer I would of gone on mates account and tried to chat with them. That way if it's someone whose bought it from cex or something you can tell them it's been robbed and if it's the robber you can give the chavy git a few words

If you can access another xbox you can recover your gamertag to that then move it to a memory card. The other person won't be able tp use it anymore.

When you recover your gamertag on one console, your profile is transferred over to it (either its hard drive or its memory unit).
To then use it on another console you have to recover it again.
In essence, each gamertag / profile can only be linked to one Xbox at a time.
Personally I'd change your XBL password then recover your gamertag on a different console using your new password when requested.
