STONE CHIPS ?

hi all how are your front end's fearing up to the everyday stone chips and usual weather wear etc my 2002 ph 2 silver 172 has hardly got a mark on the bumper/bonnet etc seems to be really hard wearing but is that just due to the low mileage of 45k ? sohow do the higher mileage cars fare up to the elements lol :approve:

Mines on 62K and has got loads on the bumper and the front of the bonnet,
Having a new bumper next week, but still have the ones on the bonnet

44K.... Quite a few on the bonnet, can only see them up close, one good thing with Silver paint

58k and my bumper looks abused. Bonnet less so but its had its fair share of big chips as well.
That'll be the high speed runs in convoy......Isle of Man and North Wales most notably.

Mines on 72k now and was the one thing that stopped it feeling like a new car (to me any way!) when I first got it at 58k. Sand blasted ftl.
Got a chip beyond repair (after I pushed it out to make sure) and £70 later it feels like a new car. To many chips on the bumper/bonnet for my liking now though.

Mines on 51k. Both the bonnet and bumper were covered in them with some pretty bad ones. They really stood out against the black

I've had the bonnet resprayed and I'm planning to have the bumper done when I have some spare cash.

Yeah, i find dead bugs hide them nicely
