'STOP' light and handbrake light on....

The stop light and handbrake light are on on my car, but they go off under acceleration.... Anything over about 25% throttle in any gear at any speed....

Can anyone shed some light on why this might be?! It's driving me mad!

Check your brake fluid, your pads could be low on material meaning you need a top up in brake fluid.

​Or ideally new pads.

Mine did this when going up steep hills at low speed, car park ramps for example.

Was a seized rear caliper.

Cheers for the replies chaps. I checked my brake fluid, that's fine. I will check the callipers though!
