STOP light

My STOP light and handbrake light still wont go off.

I have tried topping up the brake fluid,
I have checked the pads.

After doing this and finding nothing wrong I decided jus to driveit anyway, but after driving just a couple of miles my brake pedal had to be pushed almost to thefloor before any braking took place.

I am totally stumped as to what the problem could be and was wonderin if any 1 could shed some light on my problem.

When you stripped the pads down did you take them out and check them over. Mine looked fine but when we took them out the inner pads had delaminated and shattered due to heat stress.

Could be a number of failed bits.
