Strange ET and rim width :/

Hey all

Im looking at a new pair of rims and was just about to buy them when i realised the ET is 25 and the rim width is J6,5, now i know the recommended ET for my clio II 1.2 1998 is ET 35-38 and not sure bout the width:S However on the advert they say that the rim is compatible with clio, perhaps it is but my question is what will the consequences be if i purchase these rims? figured who better to ask then people who sleep, eat and dream clio:cool:

Cheers

And any problems of any sort? There must e some reason the recommended ET is 35-8, not 25. Sorry but i have to ask, i aint so lued up when it comes to this stuff:S Already had problems with one pair of rims i bought and dont wanna go through it again.

Cheers for the input;)

hmmmm...ok. But there has to be some reason for a specific ET, or else why would they recommend one, thus meaning that by not selecting the corret ET surely you would fall prey to certain consequences? not so?

Any one know of those consequences please?

  1.6 focus zetec....
Et 25 would push the wheel out towards the arch iirc?? So depending on how far its pushed out (about 10mm futher than the standard wheel) you might not be able to lower it and it might scrape the outside of the arch??

Would look euro if thats any help??

lol

the less the ET the futher out from the hub they will sit,

ET20 will be 5mm futher out than ET25,

then you half the difference in width,
