Strange markings.....

Might be nothing at all so I'm ready for a mocking.

Drove home tonight and got out of the car and saw this on my roof

Now I'm sure it's nothing but seemed a little strange so just wondered if anyone knows if it's likely to be because I have something on the paintwork? Oil residue, petrol?

Only washed, srp'd, egp'd and waxed the car yesterday and I don't work that way with my applications so it's not that.

Looks like it may have had a rather large go faster stripe on at some point or other?

Bought the car when it was 2 years old on 12k miles and pretty sure it was never fitted with any massive stripe as was completely standard when I bought it.

Guessing just a freak result to the cold.
