when accellerating i can hear strange noise from the passenger footwell, sounds like a wiring noise or air flowing or something, only happens when i accellerate! any ideas?
true, but untill recently i aint really heard it. maybe i didnt put a bung in correctly when changing the speedo cable, road noise or something coming in!
i took the grommet out the bulkhead when changing the speedo cable. had trouble getting it put back in correctly, ill check it!
it just sounds like a wuring noise, when accelerating, like belts or air moving, but definately coming from the front right of the car, in the footwell direction!
must be engine noise escaping into the car through teh bulkhead!
Having spoken to the renault specialist bloke in witham about the exs (that has exactly the same irritating noise in the middle of the rev-range), he said it was the Heater Matrix being blocked that caused it. How hot does your heater run? The exs only got lukewarm compared to my bros hot Willy heater (oo-er! Suppose you could call it a Willy Warmer! )
A b**ch of a job to change apparently - didnt adi do his? Or was it someone else...?
when i took the gromet that goes from the engine into the car in the foot well out it mad a lot extra road noise. have a look and see if its in properly.
