Strange revving issue

Well the car has a issue and as i normaly bin the stock ecu i am.unsure whata going on.

Car will rev to only 6500 even after 30 mins of driving. If stuck in trafic for a bit the car will rev to.7200.

Some times the car revs to.6000 and no more no limiter sound just no more revs.

What should i check that would casuse this? Ive changed crank senor.

Either a faulty thermostat or coolant temp sensor chap... mine did this recently on the RS Tuning rollers and then again at the Lincoln meet (Cup Phil was pushing my ginger ass down the road cos I kept hitting the rev limiter too early).

Fixed it for Bedford though and was keeping up with the mildly modified.

Another thing to check is the ECU earths as IanS had a strange 6k issue which ruined his Bedford that turned out to be a poor earth connection.
