The drivers-side switch on the door won't operate the passenger window but the passenger switch is fine, and the drivers window switch is fine.
Comes back on randomly after you drive it for a while.
Sometimes even when you press the passenger switch when the driver one fails, it lets you control it again as normal :S
Is the loom/relay/motor f**ked or is it just French?
