To cut a long story short, I've been all around the world today looking for a Clio 1*2. I started off at a 172 Cup, but I've worked my way up to a 182FF now. Why the hell can't you people look afte your Clios?? lol They're all sheds!!

I also noticed that the Cup I looked at this morning has a CS sticker in the window, anyone recognise it? NV53NTF. It was a Silver Cup.

Mines mint when cleaned, had matts over the matts for the first 3 years of it's life lol.

Insides aren't too bad. It's the outsides that are awful!

I take it they all suffer from pressure dents next to the door handles?

They do dent easy, mine has none though "special" parking space for me at work.

Stone chips are quite bad to, mines getting a few now, gggrrr.

They dent very easily , they are made out of tin foil Keep searching , your bound to come across a good one eventually .

The guy i sold my 172 to said the same as you . He'd viewed 6 172's before mine and all had been abused apparently .

Dents and stone chips galore are the biggest pissers on mine, not bad for 7 yearls old though.

also, bear in mind that some of these cars are coming on for 7 years old now, theyre not new cars.

The bodywork is crap on clio's, they dent easily and the paints soft. I noticed this when looking for 1.2's last year, my dad said why is every clio nakered.

cliosports the best place to buy one imo. You know the history of the car via old posts etc and they're usually well looked after.

Also if i go to buy a 1*2 i'll find out if someones planning on selling theres in the near future, then try and organise a deal in advance as i need one by the 30th of august next year (insurance renewal) but not more than a few days before. Otherwise i'll have to insure my 1.2 and swap it over at a pre arrainged price.

+1 the amount of cars i see on here that i want to buy, can afford to buy, is unbelieveable.

shame about insurance.

Also i'd consider that cup, i like my AC you see although i don't know why i hardly ever use it.
