Sub help needed.....!

I wanted to add more bass to my system, but without adding too much weight or using too much boot space. I listen to Rock/Punk/Indy mostly, so dont need the kind of bass which makes your nose bleed!;)

This is what ive got to play with:-

1. Kenwood KAC-742, 4 channel amp (not hugely powerful, but can be bridged to run a sub + 2 speakers)

2. 12" Alpine sub in box (huge great thing, would take up most of the boot)

3. 2 x 6" JL audio subs (was planning to put em in the spaces for rear speakers so that i wouldnt need the 12" in the boot)

4. Boston Rally components installed in the front (luvverly sound)

5. Large sheet of MDF (16mm)

I have test fitted the JLs and can see that they will need a bit of "bodging" to fit in the holes for the rear speakers. Ive wired-up the amp and its ready to go. Id prefer not to use the 12", if possible

Questions: Which bits do i use? Where do i put em?

All suggestions welcome!
