Subframe Bolts

People who have removed their subframes, what have you replaced the bolts with?

Cages have spun so i'll be looking at either replacing all the captives/cages with genuine then buying some high tensile bolts or am I better just replacing the captives with nylocs?

Threads are damaged on the fronts, not sure on the rears just yet! Are they just a standard flanged m12?

Same happened to me, I just bought some high tensile nylock nut and bolts from Screwfix for the fronts.

Rears were big ass nuts and bolts, threads didn't get damaged

I've just bought some new genuines from RPD. Worth it tbh!

Bolts are M12x40mm for the fronts and 85mm long for the rears according to the sheet Tommo did on his race car build.

Just bare in mind that some of these bolts he's intentionally bought longer to get the required shank length, so some will be cut down.

Don't know if that applies to the subframe ones... I'm sure @Tomotek can confirm.

I have the genuine ones coming but this is good to know for the future, cheers.
Is it worth fitting the little clips again? I was thinking I may aswell as they'll be brand new! Might give them a coat of paint or buy some acf50 for them.

If you can get them in easy enough, but I wouldn't waste too much time on it as a spanner fits in there anyway

Yeah, got used to the knack of removing just the nut now. Loads of room with a standard spanner, dont even need a ratchet on them
