I need to change my sump gasket as I believe it's leaking. I've jacked the car up and had a look and the subframe appears to be in the way of half the bolts. What's the best way around this problem?

Remove the subframe.
Is that the easiest way about doing it?

It will come out. You need to undo the engine mount o/s and jack it up as far as you can get it. The sump will come out, just got to wriggle it around the oil pick up pipe.
Beware or rounding the Renault chocolate bolts though, this happened to me, and it's a fkn arse.

This is the best way about it yeah? How long roughly would it take? I'm no mechanic but I will have a mate helping out and we aren't the worst in the world at things like this!

I say around 2 hours to do it. This allows for bolts to round off etc.
