Just a bit worried about renault finding it when they do a service or killing it with an ecu update! Anyone know if thats possible?

you can buy reverse chips where ecu is put back to original condition when taking to renault.When buying the chip you get software download which can be downloaded to car,you do this yourself under the instructions given from supplier.It is more expensive though!

We have mapped loads of 197's now and all respond well. On average there's 20lbft and 9hp, the torque been at about 2500rpm!

We can also offer our remote box which you can read and write your own ecu with.

Cost for the map is £345 or £495 with the box.

Sounds good, Whats the price on a map for a 1*2? Do you do saturdays?

£395 for a dyno setup or £295 for our basic map.

Of course the dyno map is the best option but the cheaper will still give good results

Best to map it on the rollers. That way you get before and after figures, showing real gains.

No remap will give 20bhp on a N/a engine.

Yes thats is possible. With our RSTuner programmer you can program back our included performance engine calibration (map).
Or load your standard map before you visit the dealership.
You ony need a laptop / USB port.

T'is possible...But unlikely that they would reload a map!

I didn't gain power from my superchips map...but the curve was alot better. more drivable!

^^^^ Here is the key sentence Superchips is always at the safe side. Custom and/or real time mapping are totally different than the off-shelf maps. For my case I got a wideband set-up installed on my car. Collected tons of data and sent them to Henk. He perfectly tailored the map for my needs. We iterated again and again. That is the way how it supposed to be.

What did it run. For reference sakes. I gained 22.6bhp from all the mods on my car... If i split it down over the times i had them done

std - 171.2
with Zorst and viper - 169.2
With zorst and panel - 171.8 (So in essence buggerall from zorst)
With Decat and Maxogen and inlets 186.2
With Headwork and map 192.6 so....LOL Remap basically gave nout interms of BHP/torque increased but coupled with the mods made it smoother to drive

Remap'in as said by steve is a bit af a mugs game the propsosed gains are a fraction of the quoted imo.

Cams, headwork and injectors.

Then mapping on the dyno which made 20hp difference. Or a v6 we did made 40hp as it was that rich!

Course they wern't on the same day! And yes i appreciate you cynicism about the rollers, but they have been consistant over a number runs! So in essence it's the best case scenario.

Thats some good information. As long as they were the same rollers. Is this where the 11BHP increase comes up from with a viper & remap joking of course
