Superleggera's

At the moment i have 17" anthracite leggera's on a red mk2 ph1 1.4 lowered 30mm on H&R springs and i have been offered a swap for some of the same wheels in 16" but in normal silver what do you think should i ???

What will be the difference ? Will i really notice and will it be easier to sell as this may be an option in the new year

well you can get 195/40 16's which are about 80ish quid BUT are near enough the same rolling radius as a set of 15s so wont loose out much on performance whereas the 17s will be killing acceleration. and more noticebly, ingear acceleration like 50-80 etc..

but obv if your swapping they will have tyres on anyway - prob 195/45/16's

has he offered any cash? or as his tyres/wheels in better condition??

cos the 17s are worth more.. especially since theyre in the graphite grey colour which become obsolete early this year.

Why would you swap for a smaller cheaper, naf coloured rim...

Wheels are going to need a refurb next year nothing major wrong but a few scuffs and his are 3 months old with 2 new tyres ,colourwise all superl's are sexy just wondered if the ride would be better and it may be easier to shift the car/ or sell the wheel seperately with 16s than 17s but it seems the amount of people interested in the wheels on this post proves that one wrong

i think it would be easier to sell the car without big wheels tht are usually more awkward to drive on..

  193 mk2
with 16"s the ride would be slightly improved, speed & handeling. but as for the sale of the car it would help it if you kept them, as the 17" sexy leggs look far better than the 16"s

You planning on selling the car Shaun? For the first time ever I reckon you should keep the 17s. Easier to sell for straight cash or a swap for dynamique wheels plus a bucket of cash before you flog the car.

Yeah John its been brewing for a while , as Olivia grows up the clio is just too small and as you know im not the smallest of blokes so the half rear seat behind me is useless when im driving ...... Should be easy to sell its got FRSH and under 30k miles just not sure whether to put it back to standard or leave it modified (got POW's old wheels on it just now )

Wider audience if you sell it standard and you never make money on mods unless you sell them seperatly. I know what you mean about the back seat, my seat is as far back as it can go and I wouldnt mind a bit more leg space! You have 40k less miles than me!
