suspected clutch?

Hi.

Little problem with my 05 clio 182 RB. when the car is off i can select the car in all the gears. When i turn the car on it wont let me select any gears when the clutch is fully pressed down... what could this be? im guessing its something to do with the clutch.. whats the most common problem this could be? changing the clutch is my last option.
The clutch doesn't fell any different, still has pressure..

Sounds like the friction plate has fallen apart.
