suspension advice needed

  Iceberg 172
I'm looking into lowering my 172 FF a lil bit; purely for styling rather than handling. I have been looking into what my options are and i could do with a bit of guidance. I'm not sure how much I want to spend on it yet as i've spent about 1k on my car this month :(

I saw a cheapy option but usually that means a negative effect on performance etc:

BBPT X-Tra low springs to suit Clio Sport 172/182 -40mm

I didnt really want to drop as low as 40mm because i'm guessing i might end up rubbing when people are in the back etc? I know fk coilys are popular but i'm not sure about paying that price tag for the time being. To summarise, i'm after a noticeable drop which wont ruin my handling so if anyone has any suggestions i'm all ears :)

40mm is fine.
FK's are the cheap coilovers H and R are the mid range with Leda and Blistain being the top of the range stuff but thats £1.3k.

Best do a search see what other have.

Billies are basically the same kit as the H&R's just with different spring/damping rates and are about the same price. Unless there is another differently specced kit out now that i dont know about.

If you are running std wheels 40mm is no problem no rubbing and even larger wheels as long as the offset is kept right you can drop 40mm + without rubbing.
