Swapped door cards - window electrics?

I've swapped my mk2 ph1 door cards for a set of 172 ph1 door cards and they fit fine.. except for the door pulls.

The window switches on my old cards were on top of the speaker grille, whereas on the 172 cards they are on the door pull. The wires for the window switches are too short to reach the new position!

What can I do? Should they pull through further or do I need to extend the wires?

I'm sure I'm not the only person to do this, but never heard of this issue.

they will need extending mate. make sure you label any which are the same colour before you cut them then just get a new piece of wire and solder it in or crimp them.
