Swapping Policys

basically, had my car written off, the insurance is in my mums name and im wanting to get an RSi now... how do you cancel the policy with the company i was oiriginally with as they will not quote me anyway near what other companys are willing to do....

is it just a case of calling up and cancelling it, then starting a new policy with my new insurers??

you cant cancel it sam, until your claim is fully resolved. I.e you current insurer have recovered all of their costs.

no, the claim will have to be settled as non fault for you to be able to cancel it, so if your insurer cant recover all their costs from the third party, then you wont be able to cancel it, if they recover all costs, then they'll allow you to cancel. the full annual premium is required if there is a fault claim made.
