Swapping tyres about

WHen you need to change the fronts its best to put the new tyres on the rear an move the rears from the back to the front...

is it ok to just move the whole wheel from back to front inc alloy or for some reason would you need to remove the tyres from the back alloy and put on the front alloy

if that makes any sense at all?

most grip to the rear so if you are fitting new tyres then swap the more worn rears over to the front and put the new ones on the rear. there is no need to swap tyres from rim to rim.
